Our story begins when a tall, handsome Cuban man (born to Jamaican parents) meets a beautiful, beautiful, American woman (from the South of the United States), they fall madly in love and get married…….
They travel to Paris France where they enjoy all that France and Europe have to offer: the sights , the culture and above all, the great food.
They then returned to their land, promising to one day return to France and share more great food wth their French friends. Once they get back home, and 9 months later, a certain someone is born……
A few months after this, the young Cuban & American family settles in a sleepy but up and coming town on the West Coast of the island of Puerto Rico where an amazing culinary adventure begins to unfold, catalyzed by all the great food experiences the couple had experienced in France… ……
Fast forward 40 years and “la Familia” is back in Paris, France this time bringing with them all the great food and preparation experience from their Latin Caribbean and American homeland to share with their friends in France and the rest of Europe.
Ok, folks! Allez- let get it on people! Vamos pa’encima!
——————————————————————————
We are a people on a mission to transform the street food landscape around the world.
We are not about imitating someone else or jumping on the latest trendy bandwagon.
We do this because this is who we are.
This is who we were yesterday. This is who we are today. And you know what?
This is who we intend to be tomorrow.
We are English speaking Latinos – yep, that’s who we are – hey, we’re not ashamed!
We are also Spanish speaking Americans– we’re certainly not ashamed of that either!
We come from all walks of life and from a culturally rich melting pot. Tainos and Caribes (Native Caribbean Indigenous people), people from the African and European Continents as well as a large and growing influx of people and ideas from the Asian and Indian Sub-continent.
We come in all shades of skin color and are united through the universally recognized law that:
All people are brought together in peace through wholesome good food.
We were, we are, and we always will be:
Orgullosamente Latino and Uniquely American!
